Michael White is currently in the process of opening 3,560 restaurants around the globe. One of these establishments will be Chop Shop, a butcher shop-inspired restaurant in the St. James district of London. White is collaborating with Will Guess, who owns the nearby Rowley's Restaurant. Chop Shop will be part of a larger development that's being pitched as "a premier central London shopping and dining destination." White's business partner Ahmass Fakahany tells Big Hospitality: "With our talented team, we look forward to bringing a unique concept restaurant to this fantastic part of the West End." A rep for White and Fakahany's Altamarea Group notes: "Altamarea Group has built a UK basked company and hired an on ground team. This will be just another dimension for Altamarea Group."
No word yet on when Chop Shop will open, but rumor has it that White is no longer planning to open Costata To-Go aboard the International Space Station, so that frees up some time in his schedule.
