CARROLL GARDENS — Chris Hastings, the chef at Hot and Hot Fish Club in Birmingham, AL and winner of the 2012 James Beard Award for Best Chef South, will be a guest in the kitchen at Seersucker on Thursday, June 6. He'll be teaming up with chef Rob Newton to cook a four-course meal of Southern-influenced dishes like a pig skin noodle bowl with frog legs and snapper jowl. Dinner is $65 per person, and reservations can be made by calling 718-422-0444. [EaterWire]

NOLITAJo's is closing for good after service on Friday night. Until then, the bar is offering all bottles of wine for 30 percent off. [EaterWire]

SOHO — A French-Mediterranean restaurant called Chicane is set to open on June 17 in the space that formerly housed L'Orange Bleue. L'Orange Bleue closed for "renovations" in 2011, but now it looks like they really are gone for good. [EaterWire]

WEST VILLAGE — The Lion just added barbecue to their summer brunch menu. $25 gets you a choice of entrees like smoked pork butt or a fried oyster po' boy, plus a handful of classic barbecue sides and a pint of beer. Brunch is every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and regular a la carte brunch options are also available. [EaterWire]
