The owners of popular Prospect Heights ramen shop Chuko are expanding down the street with a new restaurant in the Vanderbilt Avenue space that formerly housed Cornelius. Proprietor Jamison Blankenship sends word that he just signed the lease on the space, with plans to turn it into a "neighborhood izakaya" called BarChuko. The new restaurant will have about 70 seats, and it should open this fall. Blankenship has been talking about expanding in the neighborhood since last summer.
