WILLIAMSBURG — Luke Jackson, the co-owner and bartender at Do Or Dine is guest bar tending at Extra Fancy tonight. He's created two special bourbon cocktails for the occasion, one of which is the Swale Julep, which "is named after a black stallion and contains Fernet and chocolate." [EaterWire]

TRIBECA — Orwasher's Bakery has disappeared from the All Good Things food market with little explanation, just nine months after opening. Q&A — Texas Monthly's barbecue editor Daniel Vaughn thinks that NYC barbecue has come a long way in the last year.
