Questlove & Stephen Starr to Open Hybird on Saturday

Roots drummer/Late Night With Jimmy Fallon bandleader Questlove and mega restaurateur Stephen Starr are opening a chicken and dumplings stand in the Chelsea Market on Saturday, May 18 called Hybird. It's an unlikely collaboration, but both men love food and music and both of them hail from Philadelphia, so they have some common ground there. The menu includes drumsticks, biscuits, "Questolicious cupcakes," dumplings, and something called "Loveslush," which comes in either watermelon/jalapeno or honey-ginger lemonade flavors. A single drumstick is $4, and a 12-piece bucket is $41.

Questlove has been dipping his toe into the food world a lot recently. The musician had a fried chicken battle with David Chang on TV, he hosted a pop-up at a night market in Philly, and he was in talks to open a restaurant with Graham Elliot last summer. Is Hybird just the beginning of a vast Questlove/Stephen Starr fried chicken empire? Only time will tell. Check out the menu for Hybird below:
