Alameda, a Stylish New Bar & Restaurant in Greenpoint

A New American restaurant by the name of Alameda has opened in the Greenpoint corner space that formerly housed The Greenpoint Coffee Shop. Brooklyn Star veteran Nick Padilla is the chef and co-owner. His menu includes things like fried baby artichokes, a frisee salad with pork belly, a foie gras breakfast sandwich, and a cheeseburger. Most dishes on the menu are under $12. Evan and Oliver Haslegrave, of the Home design firm, built the space and they are also the co-owners of Alameda. Former Brooklyn Star barman Waine Longwell is in charge of the cocktails. Take a look around and do send any early reports our way.
