Maison Kayser's Fète du Pain; One Year In at Thirty Acres

JERSEY CITY ? Eater National talks to Kevin and Alex Pemoulie of the one-year-old Jersey City hit Thirty Acres. They recently got their liquor license (finally): "We're going to start small and work on beer and wine, and make sure everyone is on top of that, to start. UPPER EAST SIDE ? From May 13 to 19, Maison Kayser is celebrating Fête du Pain, the French festival of bread. Every day there will be a different bread special, starting with tabatière?a farmers' bread from mid-western France?on Monday and ending with a selection of three different ones on Sunday to close out the week. COFFEE WIRE ? Funny person Jerry Seinfeld visited NPR this week to talk about coffee. Apparently he used to abstain from coffee but "My theory is 98% of all human endeavor is a way of killing time," and meeting people over coffee is one way to do that.
