Le Bernardin Expands With Wine Bar, New Dining Room

Monster expansion news out of Midtown: Eric Ripert and Maguy Le Coze are planning two new Le Bernardin spinoffs next year. Steve Cuozzo reports that one of the projects will be a wine bar called Aldo Sohm Wine Bar, which will be run by Le Bernardin's famed sommelier Aldo Sohm. That will feature a 200 bottle wine list, plus a "light menu" of food, as well as beer and spirits selections.

Ripert and Le Coze are also opening a massive, 200-seat private dining floor that they're calling Bernardin Privé. Ripert tells the Post: "We have always had tremendous demand for private rooms." This is the very first time that Ripert and Le Coze have expanded Le Bernardin.

Both new projects will inhabit the former Palio space in the Equitable Center arcade, which is just around the corner from Le Bernardin. The Magic Eight Ball could not have predicted this one.
