Plywood Comes Down at the New Motorino Brooklyn

What's going on with Motorino's return to Williamsburg? Well, lots of work, basically. The plywood shed recently came off the exterior of the space at 191 Broadway, and a peek inside (see below) shows that the bar's getting ready to go and that beautiful oven's gotten itself some personalized Motorino branding and appears ready and waiting for the dining room to come together so that it can start firing up some pizza.

The first Williamsburg iteration of Mathieu Palombino's hit Neapolitan pizzeria was shuttered by the Department of Buildings a couple years ago because of a rickety building, with his return to the neighborhood announced last fall. It should open a little later this year.
