Plastic Replaces Paper at Lafayette; Curtains Galore

So much is happening at Lafayette, the highly anticipated French restaurant in the old Chinatown Brasserie space. Yesterday, signage went up and part of the exterior got a coat of primer. Now it looks like the paper has been stripped from all of the windows (finally), plastic sheeting has gone up, and lace curtains have been installed along the perimeter. This is going to be a classy joint. The new brasserie from The Traveling Wilburys of restaurants (Andrew Carmellini, Luke Ostrom, Josh Pickard, and Damon Wise) is slated to open in about two weeks.
