Chef Al Di Meglio on the Creation of the Rubirosa Burger

New, 2 comments

Al Di Meglio is the talented chef behind Mulberry Street hot spot Rubirosa. After accepting the Eater Burger Week challenge, Al spent weeks testing the recipe for Rubirosa's first-ever burger. The finished product is made with two apple wood-smoked beef patties from Pat La Frieda that are topped with Provolone cheese, crispy basil onion rings, and Sriracha "special sauce." The burger comes on a Parisi seeded semolina bun with a side of fries. It's available at lunch and dinner from now through Friday for $16. Hit play on the video above to hear chef Al talk about the creation of this dish.

Tweet a photo of this dish (or any Burger Week special) to @eaterny for a chance to win a ticket to Eater's Burger Week Fiesta at the brand-new Eighth Street location of Burger Joint on Friday afternoon.
