30-year-old East Village restaurant Gandhi, near the corner of East Sixth and First Avenue, is currently closed, with signs blaming "gas leaking." As EV Grieve points out, though, this is rather suspicious timing, considering that the restaurant got 57 points in a health inspection last week and is currently listed as "closed by Health Dept." on the department's website.
