1) Midtown East: The team behind Avra is opening a new Greek restaurant at Third Avenue and 60th Street called Anassa Taverna. Above, get a look at the space as it looks now. The restaurant should open in mid-May. [PLYWOOD]
2) Harlem: Harlem Bespoke checks in with restaurateur Richie Notar's reboot of the legendary uptown hot spot Lenox Lounge. After Notar took over the space earlier this year with the hopes of opening in March, no progress has actually begun on the space. [PRE-PLYWOOD]
3) East Village: Just this morning, EV Grieve noticed that the new St. Marks Place location of Papaya King is in the process of getting its signage. It should open May 1. [PLYWOOD]
4) Washington Heights: Per the Daily News, the Harlem Tavern owners are planning a spinoff even farther uptown called Heights Tavern, which will have more or less the same concept as the neighborhoody restaurant and bar on Frederick Douglass Boulevard. It's targeting a July opening. [PLYWOOD]
5) West Harlem: And in other uptown news, Harlem Gal reports that a spot called 9A NYC Kitchen & Lounge is opening at the corner of 12th Avenue and West 133rd. It should open very, very soon. [POST-PLYWOOD]
6) Brooklyn Heights: A liquor license has been filed for a space at 72 Henry St., where construction is ongoing, reports Brownstoner. The application is under the name Sociale LLC. [PLYWOOD]
