Purple pub cheese, Caesar salad "nigiri," rye pasta, and pigs in a blanket are some of the things on the menu at Wylie Dufresne's second-ever restaurant, Alder. This is, without a doubt, the first major opening of the spring, and diners are already lining up before service each night to sample Wylie's newest creations. The early word has been mixed — some people think that these dishes are "classic Wylie," while others find that some of the flavors and textures don't click. But the restaurant is still very, very young, and Wylie & Co. will certainly make a few tweaks to the menu and service in the coming weeks. Take a look around the space, and check out the menu — with prices — below.
