Umami Burger to Open in Williamsburg This Year

A location of LA's beloved Umami Burger chain is headed to 156 North 4th St. in Williamsburg. A rep appeared before the board at last night's CB1 SLA Licensing Committee meeting and won initial approval for the 70 seat space, which will have a full bar. In a statement, Umami Restaurant Group CEO Adam Fleischman notes: "We think it's the perfect neighborhood for Umami and are very excited to be a part of it." Umami Burger Williamsburg will feature a "greatest hits list" of dishes from the other restaurants, plus a few signature items. Umami is also planning locations in Greenwich Village and Battery Park City. Umami Burger Williamsburg will open by the end of the year.
