Reports say that there is trouble brewing in Rob Shamlian's Lower East Side nightlife empire. Apparently he has listed the seemingly popular Spitzer's Corner for sale for $2.5 million dollars and may not be paying his employees on time. Word on the street is that management is pressuring employees to get friends buying drinks at Shamlian's Fat Baby club because the business is struggling. UPDATE: Rob Shamlian writes in to note that the information in the Bowery Boogie post is 100 percent inaccurate. The space is not on the market and the staff has been paid. [BB]
