The General Now Opens at 6 a.m. for Pastries and Coffee

As promised, the nightlife wizards at EMM Group opened a bakery in the front cafe space of their new Asian hot spot The General. The new operation debuted this morning. It's open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a menu from chef Thiago Silva that includes "cereal-inspired" donuts (Coco Puffs, Fruity Pebbles) and "pretzel bombs" filled with egg, cheese, and bacon. The bakery also offers Stumptown Hairbender coffee and free wifi.

The people at EMM said they were going to do it, and now they've done it. Maybe this will appease those cranky neighbors.
