This May, a handful of new food options will open up at Terminal 4 at JFK Airport, as part of a $28 million renovation of Delta's section of the terminal. This terminal will have everything: two restaurants by Marcus Samuelsson, one called Uptown Brasserie and a quickservice spot called Street Food; a location La Brea Bakery; Blue Smoke; and not one but two Shake Shacks.
These will be the first Shake Shacks ever to open in an airport, and they'll be serving breakfast. It's worth noting, too, that in addition to another La Brea, Nancy Silverton has a location of her LA hot spot Pizzeria Mozza coming to JFK as well.
Flo Fab also gets word that the Flatiron barbecue joint Hill Country is heading to Brooklyn. Owner Marc Glosserman has signed a lease on an 11,000-square-feet space in Downtown Brooklyn that will have both a Hill Country and a Hill Country Chicken and, hopefully, live music?
