5 Ninth is now closed. Zak Pelaccio was at the helm of this Meatpacking District behemoth when it opened in 2004, but he left six years ago to build his Fatty empire. The restaurant went through a series of chef shuffles and menu changes after that. 5 Ninth closed for good last month, and the kitchen equipment is being auctioned off today. No word yet on what will take its place.
