Crime Wire

2013_3_SmithWollensky.jpgOne of the waiters arrested in 2011 for helping steal credit card numbers from steakhouse customers across the city has gotten off with a slap on the wrist. The Smith & Wollensky server helped skim around 60 credit card numbers and was just sentenced to five years probation and 100 hours of community service. The operation's ringleader, however, is serving a four-and-a-half year sentence, and this guy's Smuth & Wollensky counterpart was sentenced to four months in jail. [NYP, previously]
