Jeffrey Chodorow loves running restaurants in futuristic hotels. That's probably why he signed on to take over the food and beverage operations at Yotel in Hell's Kitchen. EL Chod tells Grub Street: "Our focus for the immediate future is to bring new energy while maintaining a high level of culinary offerings and continuity in service for YOTEL's guests and diners." Richard Sandoval's restaurant group previously operated the main restaurant in the hotel, DohYo, and its lounges and bars, but Sandoval & co. parted ways with the hotel earlier this year. No word yet on what El Chod's China Grill Management has planned for the Yotel, but the old restaurants and bars will stay open for now.
