Sad news from the world of Nur Khan. The Electric Room maven recently had to put his cat to sleep when a veterinarian discovered that the cat was very ill. But Bagheera wasn't your normal Burmese kitty kat. No, Bagheera was a 40-pound African serval cat that Khan had been raising since it was just a little kitty. Not only was the cheetah-esque house pet magnificent to look at, Bagheera also had a neat little party trick — biting people's faces.
More than one guest had felt Bagheera's wrath as did Nur himself, when he bent down to pet the beast and was rewarded with a bite under his eye. Khan says his cat-owning days are over and he will go back to Rottweilers. There will be a candlelight vigil on 16th Street tonight at 11 p.m. in Bagheera's honor, followed by four hours of cat-related rock and roll hits at the Electric Room starting at 11:30 p.m.
