Fornino Park Slope Is Dunzo, Fornino Greenpoint Coming

Confirmed: the Park Slope offshoot of the Williamsburg pizzeria Fornino is closed for good. Here's Park Slope notices that the restaurant's belongings were auctioned off yesterday, leaving absolutely no doubt that it's dunzo after mysteriously shuttering last month. No word on what's taking over that massive space yet.

It's not all bad news, though. There's still a new location of Fornino coming to Brooklyn Bridge Park this summer, and Grub Street hears that Michael Ayoub, who left the Park Slope location just nine months after opening, is also planning a new location in Greenpoint, at 849 Manhattan Ave. That one will also open this summer.
