1) MePa: There's signs of life at The Rowhouse Inn, Matt Levine and Michael Shah's new club coming to the basement at 53 Gansevoort St. No word on when this will open, but the Sons of Essex guys are warming up with a pop-up club that has a hashtag in its name. [PLYWOOD]

2) MePa: Looks like work is beginning on the Vegas import Sugar Factory, which is taking over the space briefly occupied by Scott Disick's short-lived Ryu. Paper and work orders are up in the windows. [PLYWOOD]

3) East Village: A Papaya King is coming to 3 St Marks Pl. Per EV Grieve, the plywood is up and work is ongoing at the hot dog joint. [PLYWOOD]

4) EAST VILLAGE: EV Grieve also notices that a place called Risotteria Melotti is taking over the East Fifth Street space that housed Ballaro Bakery for a mere four months. [PLYWOOD]

5) Hell's Kitchen: A "Latin bistro" called Luna Sur is taking over the former Pier 9 space at Ninth Avenue and 53rd. [PLYWOOD]

6) Park Slope: There's some chain swapping in Park Slope: Here's Park Slope reports that a Starbucks is coming to a former Five Guys space on Flatbush. [PLYWOOD]

7) Chelsea: A restaurant called La Rosetta Cucina Mediterranea has applied for a liquor license at the former Honey space on W 14th Street in Chelsea. [PRE-PLYWOOD]

8) West Village: And a mystery restaurant has applied for a liquor license at 289 Bleecker St. The applicant, per the notice on the door, is an entity called 289 Bleecker Restaurant LLC. That space used to be Asian 289. [PRE-PLYWOOD]
