Joshua David Stein Is the New York Observer's New Critic

New York now has another paid critic: Joshua David Stein. The writer sends word that the New York Observer has hired him to review restaurants. Stein — who is a friend of Eater from way back — started writing about restaurants for the Observer at the end of the year, and he will continue to file reviews every other week. Recently Stein visited The Marrow, Mayfield, Aska, Le Philosophe, and Guy Fieri's restaurant.

Earlier today, Pete Wells tweeted: "Paid restaurant critics in NYC, scarce not long ago, now more numerous; welcome @fakejoshstein to the fray." Steve Cuozzo replied: "Welcome!
