A Sneak Peek at the Work Going on Inside Lafayatte

Work is well underway inside Andrew Carmellini, Luke Ostrom, and Josh Pickard's Noho baby Lafayette. From the looks of it, the trio's fondness of tiles is expanding to the floor in a mesmerizing star-and-diamond mosaic. The ceiling is also taking shape, and behold (!), the place now has light and the beginnings of what seem to be plush booths. Even the kitchen is morphing into a recognizable form, so perhaps the recently announced culinary team led by Damon Wise will soon have somewhere to make their bread, pastries, and other French wonders. All signs point to things being on track for an opening some time later this spring.
