1) Astoria: Work is still coming along at the new Astoria location of Michael Psilakis's MP Taverna. The plywood's come down from the second-floor, which is good because the restaurant was initially slated to open last fall. [PLYWOOD]

2) East Village: The Bromberg brothers announced that they were planning to open Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken at the corner of Second Avenue and East First last fall, after which the space sat idle. EV Grieve notices though that work started this week, and the windows are now covered in the tell-tale brown paper. [PLYWOOD]
3) Nolita: Bowery Boogie reports that plywood has finally gone up at The Kenmare, where Louis Ceruzzi is working on a revamp of the short-lived restaurant and nightlife hub. [PLYWOOD]

4) Harlem: Harlem Bespoke hears that Boulevard Bistro could open within the next couple of weeks. It looks just about ready to go. [POST-PLYWOOD]

5) Union Square: The Hyatt Union Square is getting a new brasserie called The Fourth, by Jo-Ann Makovitzky and Marco Moreira of 15 East and Tocqueville, as reported last fall. It's going to have a European-style espresso and wine bar, 45-seat dining room, and 24-seat bar, per The Local. The Hyatt's shooting for an April 31 opening. [PLYWOOD]
