Valentine's Day is not the best night to experience the restaurants of New York City. The reservation books are packed super tight, all of the seats are full of people on dates, and the kitchen is slammed all night. On Valentine's Day, a lot of restaurants also put up chintzy decorations and offer absurd prix fixe deals. This is a great opportunity to show your loved one that you know how to cook a steak, and pick a good bottle of wine.
