Tonight, Gabe Stulman and Tien Ho will open their highly anticipated French bistro, Montmartre. Tien earned raves from critics and bloggers at Ma Peche, where he served a fresh take on French-Vientamese fare. And Gabe has a huge following from his five Village restaurants: Joseph Leonard, Jeffrey's, Chez Sardine, Perla, and Fedora.

Back in October, Ho told Eater that he was eager to return to classic French cuisine. When asked about his vision for Montmartre, the chef noted: "Imagine all of your classic bistro dishes, just reinterpreted." And true to that promise, the menu includes a lot of bistro favorites, executed with a few unusual twists. Chicken liver comes garnished with miso and scallions, the beef tartare is served with mustard gaufrettes, and the chicken a la Reine includes royal trumpet mushrooms and foie gras. The space has a bar up front, and a cluster of tables and booths in the back, kind of like Perla. Check out the menu below, and stay tuned for pictures of the space tomorrow.
