The late restaurateur Elaine Kaufman's East 86th Street penthouse has been on the market since she passed in 2010. The two-bedroom co-op finally sold, but for about $1 million less than the initial asking price, to a media consultant who's been to Elaine's but was apparently more interested in the 1600-square-foot terrace than the celebrity pedigree.
