The growing mac and cheese mini-chain Elbow Room got preliminary approval last night for a liquor license at its newest location (its third) at 229 Flatbush Ave. Also getting liquor license approval from Brooklyn's CB 6 was a new sit-down, Texas-style barbecue restaurant by John Avila, who used to work at Austin's legendary Franklin Barbecue.
