Pig and Khao Launches Brunch; A.G. Bistro Opens

New, 3 comments

LOWER EAST SIDE ? Leah Cohen's Southeast Asian restaurant Pig and Khao launches brunch this Saturday. Do watch out for the $15 bottomless orange lychee, mango, or watermelon mimosas. [EaterWire]

UPPER WEST SIDE ? The Nonna revamp A.G. Bistro is now open, but unlike initial reports there's o actual involvement from Alex Garcia. Instead, chef Stella Sellian is running the kitchen, with Gerry Hayden involved as a consultant. Hayden was the chef at Il Nostro, a restaurant in the same space back in 1989, and has been diagnosed with ALS (aka Lou Gehrig's Disease), so a portion of dessert sales and overall profits will go to an organization focused on ALS awareness.
