Last week, North Brooklyn restaurateurs John Seymour (Pop's) and Sam Saleh (Swallow Café) opened Sweet Chick, a casual southern restaurant on Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg. Fried chicken is the main attraction here. It's served with either waffles (classic, bacon & cheddar, rosemary & mushroom), or in a bucket with a biscuit and collard slaw. The menu also includes a kale salad, a pickle plate, mac and cheese, "sloppy duck" sliders, and a $32 dry-aged ribeye. Several vegetarian dishes are also available, including "vegetarian fried chicken." Sweet Chick has a full bar that stays open till 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.
