This is The Plywood Report. Notice any restaurants in the works while you're out and about? Send in those photos and intel.
1) East Village: Here's a look at Sushi Dojo, the forthcoming sushi restaurant by wunderkind (and Sushi Uo alum) David Bouhadana. It should open this Spring. [PLYWOOD]
2) East Village: Work is coming along at Alder, Wylie Dufresne's 56-seat pub in the East Village. Though it is supposed to open this month, a worker on site says it may be another two or three weeks before it finally opens. [PLYWOOD]
3) Cobble Hill: Pardon Me For Asking takes a look at the new location of Bare Burger coming to Court Street. The organic and hormone-free mini-chain should open this location fairly soon. [POST-PLYWOOD]
4) Lower East Side: Interstate Food & Liquor is done at 74 Orchard St., Bowery Boogie reports, with a new spot currently known as Tenement LES applying for a liquor license in that space. [PRE-PLYWOOD]
5) LITTLE ITALY: Boogie also notices that Peter Poulakakos?who owns a slew of restaurants in FiDi and Battery Park City?is eyeing 146 Bowery for a two-floor fusion restaurant with a bar in the basement. So a 199 Bowery redux? [PRE-PLYWOOD]
6) Harlem: 116th Street near Eighth Avenue is getting a new restaurant called Silvana, Harlem Bespoke learns. No word on what type of cuisine, but it's reportedly by the owners of the French bistro Yatengo and the more casual restaurant Shrine, both a little farther uptown. [PLYWOOD]
7) East Village: Nevada Smiths, the East Village soccer bar that shuttered back in 2011 and was due to open in a new location in October, is finally close to reopening, per the Local EV. Hopefully in time for the Champions League Round of 16, which starts March 5, though that might be a little ambitious. [POST-PLYWOOD]
