Solo Diner's Week at Dirt Candy; Lucky Peach Issue Six

EAST VILLAGE ? Solo Diner's Week returns for a second year at Dirt Candy, Amanda Cohen's comfy little East Village vegetarian restaurant. Though it was originally an alternative to Valentine's Day, this year's is the first week of April, featuring a $48 prix fixe dinner with coffee and wine for solo diners. HELL'S KITCHEN ? La Pulperia, a pan-Latin restaurant that opened on Restaurant Row last week, is launching brunch this weekend. it's available from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, with all of the normal ceviches and raw bar items available, plus chilaquiles, burgers, and a handful of breakfast items replacing the dinner entrées.
