Spice Things Up at The Malaysian Winter Market

WinterMarket.500x350B.jpgOn February 20 and 21, the Malaysian Winter Market will warm the bodies of cold New Yorkers in Bryant Park. In an effort to promote the cuisine, restaurants and food products of Malaysia, top NYC restaurants, including Fatty Crab, Laut, New Malaysia Restaurant, Nyonya, Penang, and 'wichcraft, will churn out spins on signature Malaysian dishes (drawing from Malay, Chinese, and Indian influences) for the public in a lovely, heated tent. Lunch and dinner will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m and 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., respectively. The tents will also remain open between meal times for chef demonstrations and performances by an authentic Malaysian dance troupe.

The organization behind the Market—Malaysia Kitchen for the World—has also partnered with Duane Reade for the month of February to showcase Malaysian food products in its stores. Be sure to check out the goods.
