Former Fiamma Space to Become Michael White's Costata

New, 1 comment

At the end of last year, Steve Cuozzo reported that the building that formerly housed Steve Hanson's beloved Soho restaurant Fiamma had been sold to a new developer, floating the rumor that White's Altamarea Group had signed a lease on it. Flo Fab later confirmed that rumor, and now the project has a name: it will be called Costata.

Grub Street notices that White and business partner Ahmass Fakahany have filed SLA paperwork for the space, under that name. Per the filing, Costata will have a first-floor bar, and will most likely be that steakhouse the duo was rumored to be working on. As Grub notes, Costata refers to a cut of rib-eye.
