Bubba Gump CEO Buys Tribeca Pad; Kajitsu's Moving

EAST VILLAGE ? The popular, Michelin-starred vegetarian Japanese restaurant Kajitsu is finally relocating, as reported last year. The restaurant will close February 25 and reopen in Murray Hill on March 12. [NYT]

TRIBECA ? Tilman J. Fertitta, the billionaire behind the Bubba Gump and Landry's restaurant chains, just got himself a chic crash pad in Tribeca. Fertitta plunked down $19.5 million for a full-floor condo at One York St., complete with a hot tub and a couple of terraces. If only Bubba himself was still around to share in the spoils of his shrimp company. [Observer]
