Band of Elves Still Building Tørst, Brooklyn's Beer Nirvana

Tørst is coming to rock your world, blow your mind, and steal your girlfriend. Last month, news broke that Momofuku vet Daniel Burns was planning a Greenpoint beer bar and restaurant with acclaimed "gypsy brewer" Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø, and the world has not been the same since. Now we see some images of the bathroom mural, and the star-shaped design on the ceiling above the bar. Rumor has it that the craftsmen on this project are highly skilled elves who were summoned by flute. They crossed the Atlantic in a ship made of old ale casks (currently docked near the East River Ferry terminal). Once the work is done, they will head back to the Scandinavian forest to rest until it's time to build again.

Here's a rendering of what the finished product will look like:

Tørst is slated to open next month. The space is actually being built by Home, the design company from Oliver and Evan Haslegrave.
