WILLIAMSBURG — The owners of Extra Fancy converted the restaurant's back yard into a Christmas tree lot. They're selling Douglass Fir trees priced from $40 to $65, and they're offering a complimentary cup of spiked cider to anyone that buys a tree. Extra Fancy is also offering $5 off the tree if you bring in two canned goods for City Harvest. [EaterWire]
SOHO — Pastry sorcerer Dominique Ansel now makes "Christmas cereal." The product features Valrhona Caramelia chocolate puffed rice, caramelized hazelnuts, and Mini-Me's meringues. Serious Eats took it for a test drive. The cereal is only available for pick-up at Dominique Ansel Bakery. [Eater National, Serious Eats]
CROWN HEIGHTS — Soon, Glady's will start offering entrees at night in addition to sandwiches. A sample menu includes a half-rotisserie chicken, a grilled pork chop, and tilefish. Owner Michael Jacober also signed the lease on the space next door. He plans to open a location of his grilled cheese operation Morris Grilled Cheese there. [GS/NYM]
EAST VILLAGE — Bromberg Bros. Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken is now serving a fried chicken sandwich. This is the very first time the Brombergs have served a boneless piece of their fried chicken on a bun. It's available with spicy pickled peppers, or with caramelized pineapple.
