A Starbucks is Landing in the Middle of Williamsburg

After years of rumors, it looks like Williamsburg is about to get its very first Starbucks outpost. A tipster points out these job listings posted on the Starbucks website, for a location at 405-409 Union Avenue. The space in question is on the ground floor of 65 Ainslie, one of Williamsburg's several Hot Karl condos, right outside the Metropolitan subway station.

Despite the fact that it's hard to go five blocks without hitting a Starbucks in Manhattan, a good portion of Brooklyn is entirely devoid of the Green Lady. Besides a healthy population of cafes in the area between Brooklyn Heights and Prospect Heights, a look at the Starbucks map shows just a single outpost out in Greenpoint. Until now, at least. No word on an opening date, but judging by the job listings, it won't be long before it's possible to grab a Frappuccino before hopping on the L.
