Brunch at Uncle Boons; Popover Cafe to Close Soon

NOLITAUncle Boons is launching brunch this Saturday, December 7, with a menu that includes things like mung bean pancakes, rock shrimp pad Thai, and poached eggs with green curry and roti. The restaurant also got its liquor license, so now it's offering a full selection of spirits and cocktails. [EaterWire]

UPPER WEST SIDEThe owners of Popover Cafe just announced that they've lost their lease, and they plan to shutter the restaurant on January 5. Popover Cafe has been in business since 1981. [EaterWire]

MIDTOWN EASTJacques Torres is opening a new outpost of his chocolate shop at 110 East 57th Street. This will be the fifth Jacques Torres location in NYC. No word yet on when this new shop will make its debut, but Torres will launch a holiday pop-up in the space later this month. [CO]
