In order to make way for the renovation of Coney Island's iconic Childs Restaurant, the city has bulldozed a decades-old community garden adjacent to the landmark. Workers razed the entire place in the wee hours, in order to begin construction on the new amphitheater and restaurant championed by Borough President Marty Markowitz. [NYP via Curbed]
