One of New York's pizza finest, Paulie Gee's, is in the very earliest stages of a massive nationwide expansion. Pizzaiolo Paul Giannone is already working on a Baltimore outpost with local anonymous pizza fanatic Pizzablogger, but now he tells Eater that he's eyeing at least seven other cities for locations, including Portland, Oakland, Chicago, and Las Vegas. No leases have been signed yet, but "if things break right" some spots could open as early as 2014.
Giannone will open each new location with a partner based in that city, so he can stay at the original in Greenpoint. So far some of those partners include Slice and A Hamburger Today founder Adam Kuban, who will be heading up the Portland outpost, and current Paulie Gee's employee Andrew Brown, who will be taking it out to Oakland. Meanwhile back in Brooklyn, Giannone is also planning to expand the original into the space next door. Head on over to Eater National for the full rundown of cities, partners, and pizza takeover plans.
