Take a look around the new Brooklyn outpost of the iconic Grand Central Oyster Bar, which opens tomorrow night. The sprawling new space takes up three storefronts, with a bar and lounge in the middle, a 150 seat dining room on one side, and a retail market with an open kitchen on the other. It's brighter and whiter than the original, and there's nothing to match that grand vaulted ceiling, but there are nods to it here and there in the lighting fixtures, the store's tiled floor, and a massive photo in the dining room. For the first few weeks the restaurant will offer just a raw bar and a menu of light fare like shrimp cocktails, fish tacos, lobster rolls, and other sandwiches. Eventually, though, the team will roll out those classic pan roasts and chowders, plus a daily seafood special. Check out the space and the menu:
