HANGOVER OBSERVATIONS — Here's a field report from nights three and four of chef Christopher Kostow's annual 12 Days of Christmas charity dinner series at The Restaurant at Meadowood. The first of those was cooked by Carlo Mirarchi of Roberta's and Blanca, and the second by Tim Cushman of O Ya in Boston. Click through for notes on the meals, the wine, and Kostow's versatility, plus some beautiful photos from noted photographer/blogger Bonjwing Lee. [~EN~]
GIVING BACK — Blue Marble Ice Cream's non-profit, Blue Marble Dreams, is starting a new community project in Port au Prince, Haiti. Like the last project in Rwanda (which was recently the subject of a documentary), this one will help local women open a coffee and ice cream shop. The first fundraiser for the shop is tomorrow, at a holiday party in Manhattan with Haitian drummers, food, an open bar, and dancing. Tickets are $100 each and can be reserved online. [EaterWire]
PROSPECT HEIGHTS — Bar Corvo is launching a limited-time BYO wine special on Monday. For an indefinite run, there's no corkage fee Monday through Wednesday, and all wine by the bottle is half off. [EaterWire]
