Travis Swikard, who previously worked as the executive sous chef of Boulud Sud, has been promoted to the executive chef position at Daniel Boulud's Upper West Side Mediterranean restaurant. He replaces opening executive chef Aaron Chambers, who recently moved on to another position in Boulud's empire. A rep for the Dinex group notes that Chambers will be "spearheading a new project" in 2014. No word yet on what that project will be, but Boulud and his crew have always got a few things in the works.
Swikard opened the restaurant with Chambers back in 2011, and before that he worked under Gavin Kaysen at Cafe Boulud. The chef was also an Eater Young Guns Semi-Finalist last year. The overall focus of the menu will stay the same.
