Tonight, cocktail historian Greg Boehm and former Painkiller barman Giuseppe Gonzalez will open Golden Cadillac, a new First Avenue bar and restaurant with a 1970s New York theme. The menu has updated, gussied-up versions of kitschy cocktails, plus beers and wines by the glass. The food menu from Miguel Trinidad, of Jeepney and Maharlika, features things like shrimp Louie, steak Diane, "knish fondue," mini Monte Cristo sandwiches, and a hunter's stew for four.

The cocktail obsessives of this city are especially excited about the opening of Golden Cadillac. Take a look at the space and the menus:
