London Hot Spot Bodega Negra Expands to New York

Marble Lane in the Dream Downtown is dunzo. But soon, an outpost of London hot spot La Bodega Negra will open in its place. This one will be called, simply, Bodega Negra. The original location has a cafe and a dining room, both of which serve Mexican street food. The (NSFW) website has pictures of pin-ups, neon porn shop signs, disco balls, old-timey Mexican streetscapes, and girls giving each other oral sex.

It basically sounds like a racier version of La Esquina, which is not surprising because Serge Becker is one of the people behind the London restaurant. An outpost of Miss Lily's spinoff Melvin's Juice Bar also opened in the Dream Downtown recently, so soon, the hotel will have two Becker-affiliated projects. Maybe he'll open a location of Cafe Select on the roof, you never know.

Bodega Negra NYC is slated to open early next year.
