Take a look around inside the brand new Midtown location of Butter, which chef/TV personality/Iron Chef Alex Guarnaschelli opened last week with partners Richie Akiva and Scott Sartiano. The large main dining room is actually underground, with a vaulted atrium ceiling that reaches up into the light of day. There are communal tables running down the center, a wood-fired oven at the back, and a giant, glowing landscape painting, plus an outdoor patio above. Until the original Butter reopens on Lafayette Street, this is the only place to get Guarnaschelli's butter-poached lobster, duck rillettes, and veal bacon. Take a look:
